Originally trained as a visual artist, Ben Cohn spent years developing skills in storytelling. While he eventually discovered that his true passion lies in composition, his experience left him with a unique perspective on story and its relationship with music.
With this deep knowledge of story, Ben creates unforgettable scores that carry the listeners on emotional journeys. His album series, Land of the Gods, tells a Legend of Zelda-inspired story through completely original music.
He draws inspiration from many sources, but most heavily studies Japanese video game scores, particularly the works of Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu, and Yoko Shimomura.
Ben has published two albums, written two musicals, and scored several short films. To listen to his work, click the navigation links at the top of the page. Contact Ben or follow him through his various social media outlets by clicking the links at the top right.
